This enhanced learning course covers all the key elements of Consumer law and the DMCC Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 in the property industry, whether for sales or lettings.
We explain the key elements of material information which relate to your job role, rather than just giving you the law itself. The benefit of understanding the DMCC will not only help in terms of your professionalism but will also protect your company’s interest where there could be a risk of fines or prison sentences!
The new DMCC Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 legislation incorporates the original CPR legislation and you should still be familiar with the principles of material information.

• Understand all forms of compliance that are necessary in the property sector and how to successfully carry out your job role whilst complying fully
• Comply with the relevant legislation, guidelines and codes of practice when progressing enquiries
• Know how to advise all clients on property descriptions, information and viewings
• Select the information needed to create a set of property details to interest and engage tenants/buyers
• Know how to obtain quality information and data from prospective tenants and buyers and explain why it is so important.
• Describe how to obtain information about the specifications of the property including fixtures and fittings
• Identify factors that influence prospective buyers’/tenants’ decisions
• Identify and address factors that might affect the acceptability of a buyer or tenant for a property of interest
This content does NOT need to be revised for the L3 CePAP (Certificate in Property Advice & Practice) initial exam. It is enhanced learning and we do advise studying it as an update to the core legislation covered in the Compliance course.
