Course Overview

This Property Management England course takes the process from inventory and check in and covers all the safety, processes and systems followed in a property management department. It covers both Housing Act and Non Housing Act tenancies.

It has been fully updated under the new Renters’ Rights Act. 

This is a mandatory module in the Level 3 Certificate in Lettings Advice & Practice CeLAP England BUT is not required for Level 3 CePAP Certificate in Property Advice & Practice.

What You Will Learn

• Understand the different types of tenancies and the requirements of the Housing Act 1988
• Know how to extend, renew and end tenancy agreements
• Know how to conduct a tenant check in and check out and provide a full inventory report
• Understand the statutory legislation and obligations of all parties regarding the safety and maintenance of the condition of the property
• Understand the procedures, legislation and codes of practice for processing and dealing with client monies
• Understand how to deal with deposit disputes
• Understand a high quality inventory process and why this is so important when recouping costs from a deposit.
• Understand what can and can’t be charged at the end of a tenancy

About Specialism Modules and Courses

This course is a mandatory unit for CeLAP – Level 3 Certificate in Lettings Advice & Practice.

PLUS it can be taken as a separate follow on specialism qualification on completion of the Level 3 CePAP (Certificate in property Advice & Practice).

Specialism content is designed for those staff who wish to expand their knowledge in the wider procedures in estate agency and lettings and to support job role changes.
