Course Overview

This course covers your key obligations as a manager/employer in relation to the law. Good practice in a business can prevent fines, but more importantly, it demonstrates a high work ethic to both employees and customers.

You should also be confident in general law that governs businesses, such as the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (formerly Consumer Protection Regulations) , AML, and Data Protection. Plus, the importance of adhering to legal processes, as applied to the agency staff and running the business.

We have also added some additional course references for you and suggest that if you haven’t already completed Level 3 CePAP or CeLAP that you look at the Lettings Legislation and Estate Agency Legislation courses on Able Agent. These are referenced as enhanced learning and are not compulsory for the Agency Management qualification exam; however, knowledge and understanding of the legal requirements are a key requirement for an Agency Manager particularly with the Renters’ Rights Act changes.
