Course Overview

Designed as a basic introduction to the property industry and to help new to the industry estate or letting agents gain confidence in the different types of job roles, services and terminology in the industry.

This course is a brief introduction to your new role and some key information to get you started.

We give an overview of the type of estate agents and lettings agents that exist and their services. Once completed, we suggest you choose either “Estate Agency Essentials” or “Lettings Essentials” depending on your job role, these modules will teach you HOW to do the job.

We have also included a glossary of terms to help with all the jargon.

Experienced staff need to review this module if sitting the Level 3 CePAP or CeLAP qualifications but should find the content easy to progress through.

  • Identify the main type of clients of an estate agent and a letting agent
  • Explain the main types of property services offered by different types of agents
  • Describe the role of the main regulatory bodies, professional membership bodies and redress schemes available to agents
  • Use secure access to utilise bespoke property software effectively and efficiently to record property and client information and data
  • Understand the importance of having procedures for keeping properties safe and secure, especially for keys and alarm codes
