Improving your Able Agent Experience

At the Able Agent, we want to ensure that you leave the site having had an excellent experience browsing the site and our courses. In this short support guide, we will outline how managing your cache and cookies, can improve your experience.

What is Cache and Cookies?

Cache is essentially a location, which stores temporary data in order to improve user experience. These are  enabled by the use of cookies, small files that your browser accesses. When you revisit a site, data is built up in the cache, which is designed to help your browser load the website faster each time you use it. This is normally for the more common parts of the website. However, in some instances, it can cause a little confusion for your browser, especially websites that are updated regularly, such as The Able Agent, where course content is often added and your course progress is updating in your account.

How Do I Know If My Cache and Cookies are Causing Problems?

One of the most common issues is the website taking longer than usual to load, or parts of the website that you regularly see, appear to have moved or disappeared, such as buttons or labels. This is because your browser may be serving information that is potentially out of date and causing it some trouble. This is can sometimes happen when there have been updates made to the site by ourselves, or you if you haven’t fully logged out of your profile after using the site.

When you encounter this issue, it’s good practice to clear your cache and cookies. To learn how, view one of our guides below on how to  clear your browser cache.
