Advanced Law for Listers
Overview
When preparing and carrying out a market appraisal, there are many legal obligations that you need to understand in order to offer professional advice to any Landlord or Vendor and act in their best interests.
This module will help you develop your knowledge and understanding of the specific areas of legislation and legal terminology, which are commonly applied in the course of providing a market appraisal and the listing of a residential property. This includes the factors that affect the market value of the property and the implications of non-conformance to the law in both the sales and rental markets.
The more professional and knowledgeable you are, the more confident you will be in your service and fee levels.
This course works as a follow on to the core Able Agent modules but can also be studied as a stand alone course as long as there is already a reasonable level of general legal knowledge.
Understand the general laws, regulations and codes of practice which apply to the sales and rental property sector
Understand the general laws, regulations and codes of practice, which apply to residential properties and the listing of properties for sale or to rent, such as the Estate Agents Act 1979 and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018
